Medical Assistant - Float - West Valley - Pediatrics

Granger Medical Clinic is looking for a skilled and compassionate full-time Medical Assistant to join our float pool at the West Valley City clinic in Pediatrics. The role provides essential support to various clinics and providers, working closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure exceptional patient care while helping the clinic run smoothly and efficiently.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm (full‑time)

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone triage and communicate with parents/guardians.
• Manage insurance authorizations and prior approvals.
• Record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, etc.).
• Administer immunizations.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms.
• Accurately document patient information.
• Provide strong customer service and communication.
• Dependable, flexible, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team‑oriented with a collaborative mindset.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Medical Assistant Certification (required).
• 1 year of experience in a medical setting (preferred).
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Prolonged standing and walking.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Frequent use of computers and office equipment (repetitive motion).
• Work performed in an indoor, climate‑controlled environment.
