Responsibilities
- Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and updating medical histories
- Aiding with procedures and exams
- Performing clinical duties such as injections, EKGs, venipuncture, and lab testing
- Documenting patient information in the EMR
- Coeordinating patient flow and supporting providers
- Education patients and supporting follow-up care
- Maintaining exam rooms, supplies, and equipment
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 3 years of experience
- CPR certification
- Strong computer and communication skills
- PREFERRED: Medical Assistant certification, EMR experience, 0–2 years of clinical experience, Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
