Medical Assistant (Flex) - Corona

About the role

Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest (PPPSW) is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Health Center in Corona, CA. The role supports the delivery of reproductive health care services under the medical supervision of Clinicians and Physicians. Key responsibilities include screening clients, preparing exam rooms, assisting providers, and performing various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Screen clients, prepare exam rooms, and cover the front office when necessary
• Provide testing, screening, and education required for medical reproductive health care
• Aid in the preparation of lab work, specimen collection, and vital sign recording
• Assist clinicians as needed, gather information on sensitive topics, and monitor center flow
• Input and update client data, perform front-office functions like greeting clients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing financial transactions
• Ensure ongoing communication with staff and maintain client satisfaction
• Prepare the center for opening and securing it for closing as required

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program
• 2 years comparable clinical back office medical assistant, Long-Term Care/Care Partners, Medication Technician experience
• Experience in Women's Healthcare preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Qualifications

• Ability to provide excellent customer service in a non-judgmental, empathetic manner
• High school diploma equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program
• 2 years comparable clinical back office medical assistant, Long-Term Care/Care Partners, Medication Technician experience
• Experience in Women's Healthcare preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Benefits

At PPPSW, we offer competitive compensation and benefits. The Medical Assistant position is paid at a rate of $23.00/hour to $23.75/hour. Flex positions receive an additional differential rate and mileage reimbursement. PPPSW is committed to fostering a supportive and equitable workplace environment.
