MEDICAL ASSISTANT, FH - CLINIC-DOM-ENDOCRINE

About the Role

A Medical Assistant is a healthcare professional and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team. The MA is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit. The MA is responsible for maintaining basic life support certification and remaining compliant with all organization educational, licensure, or certification requirements. This role may cross-train to provide services across sites and float as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients during their visit, ensuring they feel at ease.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers throughout the patient's visit.
• Maintain basic life support certification.
• Remain compliant with all organizational educational, licensure, or certification requirements.
• Cross-train to provide services across multiple sites as needed.
• Float between locations to maintain optimal clinic operations.

Requirements

• 1 Year of Healthcare Experience Preferred.
• High school diploma or GED plus one of the following:
  • Completion of an MA program.
  • Completion of an LPN program.
  • Completion of an EMT-Basic course.
  • One year of on-the-job MA training.
  • Completion of an MA Apprenticeship program.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Providers (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent within 90 days of hire.
