Medical Assistant /Family Practice- M-F (8:30-4:00/5:00)
The office is located on our main campus (4235 Secor Rd, Toledo OH). Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (e.g. RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.
Schedule
Monday, Tuesday, and Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Wednesday and Thursday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
About the role
Assist physician(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for physician(s), and performs various clerical duties. Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.
Responsibilities
- Assist Drs. with patient care (i.e.: assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.)
- Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.)
- Escorting patients to exam room
- Preparing exam rooms
- Preparing patient for Drs. (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.)
- Sterilizing and preparing instruments
- At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills
- Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments
- Follow up with lab work and/or x-rays
- Administering injections
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame
- Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed
- Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles
- Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA or RMA)
Qualifications
- Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school required
- Clinical medical assisting experience preferred
