Medical Assistant - Family Practice

About the role

The Medical Assistant will perform a variety of administrative and clinical duties in a UNMMG Ambulatory Clinic, including patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient registration and verify demographics
• Schedule appointments and obtain referral and prior authorization information
• Verify insurance benefit/eligibility information and collect co-pays
• Collect patient data and/or medical history
• Perform routine Medical Assistant functions

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Medical Assistant Program Graduate
• If applicable, current Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
• BLS certification

Qualifications

• Minimum $38,958 - Midpoint $47,819 salary based on years of total relevant experience
• Full-time day shift position Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm
• Sign-On Bonus of $2,000 available
