Work Schedule

Part‑time, 80% FTE, day‑shift position. Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Current day off is Monday; no weekends or holidays. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses, gynecological care, and urgent care.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.
  • Deliver quality care in a compassionate, patient‑family‑centered environment.
  • Prepare patients for examination and obtain vital signs.
  • Document chief complaint, medications, and allergies.
  • Perform EKGs and administer medications and treatments.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
  • Required licensure as an LPN or completion of one of the following UW Health programs:
    • Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program
    • Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program
    • Attainment of CCMA certification as a UW Health employee
    • Acceptance into the Accelerated MA Apprenticeship Program
  • One year of recent medical assistant experience with CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification.
  • One year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN (preferred).
  • Certification as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within one year of hire (required).
  • Current LPN licensure (required upon hire).
  • If not holding a medical assistant degree or LPN license, a current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification is required upon hire.
  • CPR/BLS certification required upon hire.
