Medical Assistant/Endocrinology - Tues-Fri, (8-5)

The Toledo Clinic's Endocrinology Department is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA).

Schedule

Tuesday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-office support: referrals, scheduling patients, checking patients out, answering messages.
• Run patients when needed.
• Assist with office operations by managing incoming and outgoing patient communication.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage prior authorizations.
• Prepare and organize patient charts for providers, ensuring all necessary records are updated before appointments.
• Manage incoming faxes and prior authorizations for services and medications.
• Assist with prescription refills and referral management.
• Download diabetic patient status from Dexcom.
• Prepare exam rooms, sterilize and prepare instruments, escort patients to exam rooms, and prepare patients for providers.
• Assist providers with patient care, including minor procedures, surgeries, and administering injections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability to expanded roles.
• Seek appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assist co-workers as needed.
• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
• Clearance from the Medicare Exclusion List.
• Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school, or ability to obtain credential within 60 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Clinical and clerical medical assisting experience.

Benefits

• $2,000 Sign-On Bonus for qualified Medical Assistants, payable within 30 days of hire if credentials are active and verified (or once obtained and verified if not yet credentialed).
