We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support healthcare providers in a primary and urgent care setting. Responsibilities Include Welcoming patients, preparing exam rooms, and obtaining medical histories.Documenting vital signs and accurately updating electronic medical records.Assisting providers during examinations and performing point-of-care tests as certified and regulated.Maintaining supplies, disinfecting treatment areas, and ensuring a safe environment.Providing excellent patient service with respectful and attentive communication.Managing pre-visit preparations, logs, and messaging within the EMR system.Supporting front office duties such as check-in, check-out, scheduling, and phone coverage when needed.Adhering to HIPAA and legal guidelines, maintaining professional vendor relationships, and attending training sessions. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required.Graduate of an accredited healthcare program (e.g., Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, EMT) with relevant experience.Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred; current BLS certification required.Strong computer skills, experience with EMR systems preferred.1-3 years of experience in family or pediatric care is advantageous. Skills & Attributes Ability to complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.Excellent interpersonal skills, empathetic and attentive communication.Ability to maintain detailed medical records and follow protocols. Working Conditions: Standing, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds; maintaining focus and attention to detail.
