Medical Assistant (Donor Specialist) - Missouri Mobiles

Job Summary

Perform donor selection and blood collection activities under the supervision of an on-site collections supervisor at fixed-sites and mobile operations. All functions are performed in a manner that ensures maintenance of the donor’s well-being and the quality of the blood product while adhering to federal, state and local regulatory guidelines.

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand continuously for a minimum of six hours.
• Able to climb in and out of a van.
• Able to lift 25-30 pounds.
• Good hand and finger dexterity.
• Visual and auditory acuity.

Job Specifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum one year post-secondary education in a health-related field preferred.
• Veterinary Technicians will be considered.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to comprehend and follow written instructions.
• Must have valid drivers’ license and acceptable driving record.
• Able to comply with overnight travel schedule.

Schedule

Monday-Friday schedule
Availability to be scheduled any shift Monday-Friday between the hours of 4:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.
