MEDICAL ASSISTANT /DERMATOLOGY - Mon-Thurs (7:00a-4:30p)

General Summary

This position is Monday - Thursday (7:00am - 4:30pm). Employee benefits are offered.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Answering phones - courteously and professionally.
• Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc.
• Accurately enter patient information in to the electronic medical record.
• Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications.
• Updating insurance information.
• Esporting patients to exam rooms.
• Preparing and maintaining exam rooms.
• Assisting physician with minor procedures.
• Prepping patients for physicians (vitals, histories, etc.).
• Answering patient questions at the request of the physician.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
• Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
• Registration or Certification as a Medical Assistant.
• Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
• Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
• Medical Assisting Credential (RMA, CMA, CCMA).
• Adheres to all Toledo Clinic policies and procedures.

Education

• A Medical Assisting degree or diploma required.

Benefits

Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.
