We're hiring a Medical Assistant to join our outpatient dermatology clinic in Alcoa, TN. The Medical Assistant will assist physicians and other providers by preparing procedure trays, ensuring adequate supplies for the department and assisting with patient care. Responsibilities
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document intake information in the EMR.
- Coordinate patient flow and support efficient clinic operations.
- Prepare procedure trays, instruments, and equipment and assist providers with dermatology procedures.
- Prepare and route pathology/lab specimens according to insurance requirements.
- Respond to patient questions, clinical task lists, and nurse line messages as directed.
- Clean, sterilize, maintain, and inventory clinical equipment and instruments.
- Maintain medication and supply inventory, remove expired items, and restock clinical areas.
- Support infection control standards and maintain organized, fully stocked clinical spaces.
- Accurately document patient information and scribe provider notes in the EMR.
- Assist with administration of local anesthetic.
- Ensure phone messages, faxes, and interdepartmental communications
