Medical Assistant - Convenient Care
About the role
The Medical Assistant I supports efficient patient flow by maintaining clinical supplies, rooming patients promptly, performing EKGs and point-of-care testing, and assisting physicians and nurses to ensure high-quality care for patients and families. This position is open to candidates willing to obtain Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), and candidates with active CMA or RMA.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine direct patient-care tasks to support medical and nursing staff during exams and treatments
- Maintain a clean, safe, and private patient-care environment, including managing supplies
- Obtain vital signs and collect patient data for provider evaluation
- Conduct waiting-room and exam-room rounding
- Absorb and document charges for Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
- Assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform procedures such as EKGs, ear irrigation, vision screening, dressing changes, wound care, suture/staple removal, point-of-care testing, and splint application
- Clean and restock exam rooms consistently
- Serve as a member of the code team
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days — American Heart Association (AHA)
- High School Diploma or GED required
Requirements
This position requires a High School Diploma or GED, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Skills
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and attention to detail are essential.

Pay
The compensation range for this position is $17.12 per hour - $27.73 per hour.
