Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) - Emerald Urgent Care

About the role

The Medical Assistant (MA) will provide excellent direct patient care alongside our providers, support the Patient Centered Medical Home model of care, and maintain accurate and complete documentation within the patient’s medical record.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent direct patient care alongside our providers
• Serve as a liaison between patients and providers
• Support the Patient Centered Medical Home model of care
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation within the patient’s medical record

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program
• Currently certified by American Medical Technologists, American Association of Medical Assistants, American Registry of Medical Assistants, or other accredited certifying organization
• Entry level; previous medical assistant experience preferred
• Previous experience in a primary care clinic / outpatient setting preferred

Qualifications

• Licensure / Certification: Currently certified by American Medical Technologists, American Association of Medical Assistants, American Registry of Medical Assistants, or other accredited certifying organization

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
