Peachtree Immediate Care is a leading urgent care operator in Georgia. Our mission is to provide the perfect patient experience so patients can “Get in. Get out. Get better.” We have an opening for a Certified Medical Assistant to deliver high-quality healthcare services in a clinical setting, acting as a liaison between patients and medical providers.

About the role

This full-time position involves 3 × 12-hour shifts with a rotating weekend schedule. You must be willing to float between clinics. Our centers are open seven days a week, 8 am – 8 pm, providing walk-in care for injury, illness, minor emergencies, and family care.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with personnel and patients.
  • Perform patient intake, accept and return patient calls, and assist providers in urgent care and occupational medicine.
  • Conduct lab work, general x-rays, administer medications (PO, SQ, IM, intradermal, eye/ear drops, topical), and perform venipuncture.
  • Prepare and maintain exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
  • Document patient complaints, vital signs, current medications, and allergies accurately.
  • Initiate patient care before provider examination according to standing orders.
  • Assist in minor surgeries, wound care, and patient discharge, including reviewing written instructions.
  • Schedule tests, treatments, and referrals; answer telephone calls per department standards.
  • Perform routine equipment checks, stock supplies, and notify staff of ordering needs.
  • Attend in-service and educational conferences, and quarterly staff meetings.
  • Maintain current knowledge and skills; adhere to safety and infection control standards.
  • Exhibit cooperation and a positive attitude toward other departments and physicians’ offices.
  • Follow procedures for authorized medication administration, narcotic control, and radiographic image collection where applicable.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistant (certification preferred). LPNs, EMTs, Basic Machine Operators, and Radiologic Technologists must have applicable current State licensure.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Reliable transportation to commute to assigned regional offices.
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and in a high-paced facility.
  • Ability to escort or transport patients by wheelchair when appropriate.
  • Willingness to work all shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Experience

Minimum of 1–2 years in an outpatient/clinic setting preferred.

Schedule

Full-time: 3 × 12-hour shifts with a rotating weekend schedule.
