Medical Assistant (Clinical Partner)

Responsibilities

• Serves as a Clinical Partner with Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, and Care Management Teams
• Coordinates daily travel itinerary and transports clinicians to scheduled appointments
• Prepares patients for examination and treatment; may include preparing patients for minor procedures
• Sets up patient care documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Coordinates patient care as directed by Clinicians, company standards, and policies
• Respects patient confidentiality and treats patients with courtesy and respect
• Performs phlebotomy (venipuncture only), EKG, or other procedures as requested by Clinician
• Labels, stores, and packages specimens for lab delivery
• Updates patient care plans and SDoH (Social Determinants of Health) assessments in the patient chart or electronic medical record
• Maintains compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA guidelines
• Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatment
• Ensures company vehicle is clean and follows a proper maintenance schedule
• Attends required meetings and in-services

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EMT, related medical education/training program or 1 year of experience serving as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist
• Current CPR certification that meets Company guidelines
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Basic computer literacy, including EMR, iPad, and GPS experience
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record
