About the Role
Join our team as a day shift, full-time Medical Assistant in the INTEGRIS HEALTH Medical Group Float Pool to support outpatient clinics in Enid, OK.
INTEGRIS Health, Oklahoma’s largest not-for-profit health system, is seeking a dedicated caregiver to partner with people to live healthier lives.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by taking vitals, patient history, venipuncture, lab, x-ray, referrals, and patient phone messages as directed by the provider and/or clinical supervisor.
- Gather and document information about patient condition, including lab values, pain levels, patient education needs, nutritional status, and potential complications.
- Contribute to the assessment/re-assessment of patients.
- Monitor and document patient status.
- Participate in the development of the plan of care, including implementation and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions (may include medication administration, excluding narcotics).
- Manage large call volume while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette.
- Organize workflow to meet patient needs in a timely manner.
- Retrieve and transport medications as needed.
- Report to assigned director, manager, supervisor, or lead.
Requirements
- Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification/registration; OR 6 months of clinic MA experience AND 6 months of customer service experience (preferred).
- CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written).
