As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at North Alabama Shoals Hospital in Helton OB, you will play a crucial role in supporting patient care. Responsibilities
- Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintains examination areas.
- Documents patient care given.
- Performs administrative or clerical duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
Requirements
- High School diploma.
- CCMA, CMA, or RMA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire.
Qualifications
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to handle stressful environments and take appropriate actions.
Skills
Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is beneficial.
