About the role
The medical assistant is responsible for the care and treatment of clients in a medical office as directed by a physician. They work under the supervision of the provider, to ensure that quality care is provided to adult and pediatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Take and record vital signs
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment
- Manage patient records and scheduling
- Communicate with patients regarding their health and treatment plans
- Perform administrative tasks such as billing and insurance verification
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of medical assisting with knowledge of new trends and techniques in medical assisting
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred
- Previous experience in a medical setting is preferred
Qualifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Skills
- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
