Medical Assistant - Certified

About the role

Support patient care and clinic operations by assisting providers, performing clinical tasks, managing patient flow, and handling administrative duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers during patient visits
• Perform vital signs, administer injections, conduct EKGs, blood draws, and ear lavage
• Manage patient flow and update schedules
• Handle front office activities and report test results
• Schedule appointments, manage medical records, and process insurance claims
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
• Deliver exceptional customer service

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent military training
• Active Washington State Medical Assistant Certified licensure (or Interim MA-C with a goal to obtain full certification within 6 months)
• BLS-RQI certification required
• Six months of customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge of insurance concepts and one year of Medical Assistant experience are a plus
• Passion for patient care and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
