About the role
Maria Parham Health, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced orthopedic practice. We are a team of five experienced providers dedicated to delivering exceptional orthopedic care to our community, including physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, certified medical assistants, patient service representatives, and referral specialists. Our practice focuses on sports medicine, joint care, fracture management, and surgical follow-up, with a commitment to compassionate, high-quality care that helps patients restore mobility and improve their quality of life.
How you'll contribute
- Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
- Document patient care given.
- Maintain equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain examination areas.
- Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
- Exhibit exceptional customer service with patients and teammates.
Requirements
- License: CMA, RMA, or CCMA via the AAMA or NHA must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
