Medical Assistant, Certified
About the role
Supports patients and community members interfacing with and receiving care at Community Medical Center. Works under the supervision of a Physician or Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Sets up and maintains examination areas.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
- Assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
- Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of Accredited Medical Assistant Program or equivalent required.
- Current Montana CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or obtained within 60 days after hire date.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
