About the Role
Performs clinical and clerical activities to support patient flow and office operations in a medical setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist providers and nurses to ensure quality healthcare and smooth patient flow.
- Prepare patients by taking vital signs and screening health.
- Obtain lab specimens and support clinical procedures, including point-of-care testing.
- Maintain a safe, clean environment, ensuring proper disposal of supplies and instrument decontamination.
- Support office tasks such as scheduling follow-ups, answering calls, and managing charts.
- Provide patient education and assist with office procedures and exams.
- Participate in continuing education and maintain knowledge of safety policies and office systems.
Requirements
- Certifications such as RMA, CCMA, CMA, or equivalent; BLS within 30 days.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate flexibility, and possess excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety policies, lab procedures, and computer systems.
