Medical Assistant - Carmel Podiatry
About the role
The Medical Assistant will assist the provider with patient visits, procedures, laboratory tests, and quality outcomes. They will also participate in network quality initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient caseload
- Obtain vital signs, EKGs, and specimen collections
- Document care using EPIC EMR system
- Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient needs
- Process referrals and medication refills
- Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff
Qualifications
- Diploma from a Medical Assistant program OR a combination of a high school diploma and 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a physician practice
- PMAC Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire
- Licensure for Radiology required within 6 months of hire
