Medical Assistant - Cardiovascular Care

Duties

• Interviews patient and documents patient’s response in the medical record according to standard.
• Administers and documents prescribed medications (oral, intramuscular, intradermal, subcutaneous, inhaled, drops) and treatments in accordance with organizational standards.
• Observes, records, and reports patient’s response to medications and treatments to provider(s).
• Documentation and communication of medication refills.
• Affords assistance to provider with examinations and procedures, including preparing sterile field and properly maintaining equipment before and after procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma is required.
• If hired after 06/01/2021, required to complete a Medical Assistant training program.
• CMA - Certified Or Registered Medical Assistant is required.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Six months physician’s office or healthcare setting is preferred.
