Medical Assistant - Cape Gastroenterology

Type: Full Time (80 hours per 2 week pay period, with benefits)

Schedule

Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of patient care activities and assist the provider and nursing staff to maintain the highest standard of care
• Restock supplies in the work area
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Take vital signs
• Perform diagnostic testing/procedures such as x-rays and non-waived testing

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) (preferred)
• BLS Certification
• Basic Computer Skills (required)

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public
• Maintain quality control standards
• React calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Communicate clearly, and understand and respond to detailed oral and written instructions
• Learn and perform diagnostic testing/procedures
