Medical Assistant- Bradenton
MaxHealth in Bradenton is looking to hire a full-time Medical Assistant to oversee patient care, prepare patients' rooms, assist physicians with exams, and perform front desk tasks.
About the role
As a Medical Assistant, you will perform a wide range of medical office tasks in both front and back office settings. You will greet patients warmly, triage them upon arrival, prepare examination and procedure rooms, obtain patient histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements. You will also assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments while maintaining a calming presence for patients. Administrative tasks include scheduling appointments, managing pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results.

Responsibilities
- Greet and triage patients upon arrival
- Prepare examination and procedure rooms
- Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing medical records
- Handle pre-authorizations, test results, and other necessary documents
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Computer literacy, including experience with EMR/EHR systems
- Proficiency with medical records

Starting salary: $20.00 per hour
Schedule
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Some phlebotomy experience preferred.
