Medical Assistant- West Bradenton

MaxHealth in Bradenton is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to oversee patient care, prepare patients' rooms, assist physicians with exams, and perform front desk tasks. This role involves a wide range of medical office duties in both front and back office settings.

Some phlebotomy experience and bilingual skills are preferred.

A Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant, you are directly involved in delivering focused and empathetic patient care. Your responsibilities include:

• Greeting patients warmly and triaging them upon arrival
• Preparing examination and procedure rooms
• Obtaining patient histories, vital signs, and weight/height measurements
• Performing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing documents like pre-authorizations, medical records, and test results
• Assisting with examinations, procedures, and treatments while maintaining a calming presence for patients

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Computer literacy, including experience using EMR/EHR systems
• Proficiency with computers and previous experience with medical records
