As a Medical Assistant, you'll work alongside behavioral health providers to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a welcoming outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Aid in rooming patients
• Obtain vital signs and health histories
• Care for coordination of care
• Manage patient communications
• Support medication refill requests
• Document in the electronic medical record
• Contribute to ensuring the clinic operates efficiently

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed
• Completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting
• One year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis)
• Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification required (exempt for some positions)
• Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date
• NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license required for positions in New Hampshire
• Six months of experience as a Medical Assistant or one year as a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant

Pay

• Sign-on bonus available for Medical Assistants with 0-1 years of experience: $4,000 (full time)
• Sign-on bonus available for Medical Assistants with 1+ years of experience: $5,000 (full time)

Schedule

• Full-time position (36 hours)
