Medical Assistant | Avera Heart Hospital

Position Summary

Performs selected medical assistant and clerical duties that assist in care for clinic patients following established standards, practices, and competency.

Works collaboratively with other clinic staff to solve practice-related problems.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient’s status.

Monday – Friday

Education/Experience

• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) – National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) – American Medical Technologist (AMT)
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) – National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

Licensure/Certification

• Associate’s Graduate of Medical Assistant program or diploma
• BLS Required within 6 months of hire
