About the role
Willis Knighton Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to work in a busy Ob/Gyn clinic in Shreveport, LA.
Responsibilities
- Give excellent customer-centered service
- Set up and assist with GYN procedures
- Assist in prenatal care
- Manage medications including administration and cleaning of instruments
- Perform blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests
- Work with insurance companies and other departments for pre-authorizations and scheduling of tests and procedures
Requirements
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Flexible and dependable
- Excellent communication skills
- Solid knowledge of computers
- Initiative to work independently
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health or related field preferred
- Current CPR certification
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
