Medical Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed medical assistant that can work at all 5 campuses. This position will be a full-time floating position. These clinics include Endocrinology, Pediatric, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Ob/Gyn and Hematology/Oncology. We need a person that is dependable with strong work ethics. Good communication and computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assessment of patients utilizing verbal and technical skills
• Triage patients
• Assist in medication management, including vaccine management, administering routine medications, medication reconciliation and medication storage
• Perform EKG, breathing treatments, and assist in clinical procedures
• Work with insurance companies in completing referrals and on pre-authorization for lab, x-ray, procedures and surgeries
• Assist in scheduling tests and procedures

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
