Job Summary
WNY Urology Associates is seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Medical Assistant for their Orchard Park location. The ideal candidate will have a kind approach, excellent patient care, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Checking vitals and reconciling medications within the EMR system.
- Entering and updating medical history within the EMR system.
- Aiding physicians with procedures as needed, under direct supervision.
- Setting up procedures for both physicians and nursing staff.
- Communicating relevant information regarding patients and situations to provide individualized care.
- Stocking and cleaning exam and procedure rooms daily or as needed.
- Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to the office Code of Conduct and HIPAA policies.
- Maintain OSHA Standards, Infection Control, and Regulated Medical Waste policies.
Requirements
- Knowledge of medical office management systems, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Social perceptiveness and service-oriented attitude.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to take constructive feedback from supervisor.
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Medent preferred but not required).
