About the Role

Wallowa Memorial Medical Clinic is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to join our clinic team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a provider and clinical supervisor, supporting both clinical and administrative functions to ensure a seamless patient experience. The Medical Assistant serves as a vital link between patients and providers, helping to coordinate care, document patient information and assist with routine procedures. Effective communication and a collaborative approach are essential in working with physicians and fellow team members to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with patient exams, procedures and treatments as directed by the physician
  • Taking and documenting vital signs, patient histories and clinical information
  • Preparing exam rooms and ensuring appropriate supplies and equipment are available
  • Communicating clearly and professionally with patients, providers and clinical staff
  • Assisting with care coordination, follow-up instructions and patient education
  • Supporting administrative tasks such as scheduling, data entry and medical record documentation
  • Maintaining a clean, organized and safe clinical environment

Qualifications

  • Current BLS/CPR certification required or ability to attain upon hire
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong customer service and professional phone skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork within and across departments
  • Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care across diverse populations
  • Ability to meet the physical and functional requirements outlined in the job description
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screen and reference checks

Pay

Salary Range: $22.97 + $5.00 Relief + DOE
