Job Summary
Valley Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Family Practice team at our Northampton Health Center. Located in the Pioneer Valley serving over 55,000 patients, we offer a dynamic work environment with competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for their visit by obtaining vitals, patient history, medication reconciliation and reviewing allergies
- Absorb and assist with procedures and point-of-care testing
- Order necessary tests required for the visit to ensure satisfaction of the QM Tab measures
- Document encounters in the Electronic Medical Record (Athena)
Requirements
- Medical Assisting program certificate, EMT license, or CNA license
- Current CPR certification
- EMR experience (Athena preferred)
- Experience working as a Medical Assistant, EMT, or CNA
Qualifications
- CMA or RMA certification strongly preferred
- Proof of completion of an ABHES or CAAHEP accredited Medical Assisting program preferred
