Responsibilities
- Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience
- Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR)
- Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification
- Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems
- Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems
- Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments
- Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician), required
- Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred
- Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required
Schedule
Full-Time, 4 days per week, 32 hours (Tuesday-Friday)
Pay
$20-$24/hr based on experience and qualifications
