Medical Assistant
Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures
Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR
Avoids assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services (nail care, callus removal, diabetic shoe fitting)
Applies dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education
Manages lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed
Makes post-operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service
Opens, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies
Maintains accurate documentation, support back-office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance
Required Skills And Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience
- CMA or RMA certification preferred
- Experience with medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment
- Detail-oriented, professional, and patient-focused
- Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Pay Range
$21 - $24/hr based on experience

Physical Requirements
- Sit, talk, hear, and use hands to write, type, or operate office equipment
- Occasionally reach with hands and arms
- Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and smell
- Perform repetitive motions, including reaching overhead and typing
- Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Maintain peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustments
