Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients promptly and provide clear communication about next steps and wait times
  • Offer solutions to patient concerns and seek help in emergent or hazardous situations
  • Ensure timely follow-up for lab and x-ray results; execute follow-up calls with urgency
  • Support front desk staff with check-in and check-out procedures when needed
  • Accurately document vital signs, histories, medications, allergies, and other pertinent details
  • Auxiliary with patient transfers, procedures, and lab work under provider supervision
  • Prepare and shoot X-Rays, ensuring proper positioning, safety, radiation protection, and shielding
  • Complete all required visit documentation and maintain stocked, clean exam rooms
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality standards
  • Perform phlebotomy, injections, and other clinical procedures as trained and directed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • BLS Certification
  • Certified Medical Assistant is preferred
  • Experience performing X-Rays is desirable

Centers are open seven days a week: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Additionally, all Urgent Team centers are Accredited Care Centers.
