Primary Responsibilities/Requirements
- Bring patients back to exam rooms and triage patients
- Locate any necessary imaging, test results or reports for upcoming appointments
- Prepare exam rooms, restock supplies for clinic, power up computers, etc.
- Prepare for clinic by printing out patient information as requested by physician
- Auxiliary support to other team members as needed
- Support MRI/CT scheduling/precerting
- Prepare for clinics by printing out progress notes and test results
- Obtain physician signature on miscellaneous forms
- Travel locally to satellite offices as schedule requires
- Assist with in-office procedures
- Coverage for other clinical teams as needed
- Communicate with patients via phone, provide patient education and handouts, escort patients, make appointment/surgery reminder calls, respond to and chart patient messages, and communicate test results to patients with direction from physician
Must Also Possess
- High School Diploma/GED required
- ROT or CCMA certification required by first 90 days of employment
- Clinical experience in healthcare or orthopedics a plus
- Effective communication with patients, TOC physicians and staff
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines
- Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills
- Independent, self-starting and highly motivated
- Positive, “teamwork” attitude and work history
Physical Demands
- Use arms, hands, and fingers skillfully
- Frequent moving, pushing, pulling of heavy patients and/or equipment
- Constant standing and walking for long periods of time
- Able to work efficiently in space limited areas
- Work at a productive pace
- Adapt to frequent treatment schedule changes
