Medical Assistant

Role Overview: The position involves providing clinical support and exceptional patient service as a Certified Medical Assistant, including venipuncture, specimen collection, vital signs, EKGs, vaccines, and administrative duties such as check-in/out, insurance verification, and patient communication. Key Responsibilities Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care using the C-I-CARE framework during clinical and administrative interactions.Perform blood draws and extended scope duties like EKGs, vitals, vaccinations, and specimen handling.Maintain high standards for specimen labeling, handling, inventory, and office cleanliness.Support patient follow-up, respond to messages, assist with billing, and aid providers with clerical tasks.Manage front desk operations, including check-in/out, insurance verification, and scheduling.Contribute to team activities, participate in problem-solving, and support office and provider needs.Ensure the office environment remains organized, welcoming, and on-brand.Proficiently use technology tools such as EMR, Slack, G-suite, and communication platforms. Qualifications & Skills Active Medical Assistant certification (NHA, AAMA, NCCT, AMT).Postsecondary Medical Assistant training from an accredited program or military training.Minimum of 6 months relevant experience outside of externships.Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficient in computer use, multitasking, and team collaboration.Ability to build trust and handle challenges with confidence and empathy.
