Medical Assistant

Job Description

The Medical Assistant facilitates patient care by assisting patients through the system. They support clinical staff and maintain the office environment.

Education Desired/Required Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant, i.e. complete course work for medical assistant.
• Experience: Two years of work experience in similar job or work environment.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

• Aid in the delivery of patient care by overseeing provider schedules and managing associated office workflow.
• Prepare and deliver patient records for clinical exchange in a manner that maximizes efficiency and quality of care.
• Maintain the office environment, including stocking supplies in exam rooms.
• Expand responsibilities as directed by management to facilitate optimal workflow within the cancer center.
• May be required to work at other CHC sites based on clinic and patient needs.
