Medical Assistant

About the role

As a Medical Assistant at Texas Fertility Center, you will play a crucial role in managing patient flow and ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical experience. You will assist with rooming and chaperoning patients, collect their medical history, take vital signs, prepare exam rooms for procedures, assist in the Surgery Center, handle patient check-out, scheduling, and answer questions about next steps. You will also provide injection teaching to patients and administer injections when necessary. Your communication skills will be utilized when explaining laboratory results, physician orders, and next steps to patients.

Responsibilities

• Aid in patient flow and clinical experience management
• Room and chaperone patients
• Collect patient medical history and vital signs
• Prepare exam rooms for procedures
• Assist in the Surgery Center
• Handle patient check-out and scheduling
• Communicate laboratory results and physician orders to patients
• Administer injections as needed
• Provide injection teaching to patients
• Prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Medical assistant or nursing assistant certification preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail for accurate patient information and quality control
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficiency in computer software and tools relevant to the role
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
