Key Responsibilities

• Remain with physician at all times in the exam room unless asked to step out or sent to schedule a study.
• Auxiliary in all aspects of patient consultations and weekly status checks.
• Handle routine follow-up examinations and emergency visits.
• Schedule and follow-up on diagnostic studies, ensuring proper documentation and physician signatures.
• Acquire and notify the physician of lab test results.
• Attend and apply OSHA/Biomedical updates in the clinical setting.
• Maintain safety protocols and personal protective equipment.
• Document medications, new prescriptions, and vital signs.
• Obtain signed permission slips for radioactive prostate seed implants.
• Verify allergy stickers and assist or perform catheterizations.
• Report or verify patient problems.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and communicate with relevant staff.
