Responsibilities

• Escort patients from waiting room(s) to exam room(s), confirming date of birth and ensuring patients are in the proper attire required for their visit
• At relevant sites, walk patients to radiology or POPs rooms/waiting areas, in addition to rooming for clinic
• Obtain patient vitals (height, weight, temperature, pulse, BP, etc.), draw blood, and conduct basic medical history (including chief complaint, medication history, social history, and family history)
• Monitor Epic DAR and communicate with all relevant teams (front desk, radiology, POPs, etc.) to ensure timely rooming and patient handoffs
• Direct physicians and APPs to patient rooms based on Epic DAR status
• Prepare exam rooms daily; stock and maintain supplies and equipment
• At relevant sites, support cast room setup, cleaning, and supply management
• Assist with minor procedures
• Manage supplies
• Support Telehealth services when applicable
• Flex to administrative support when needed

Requirements

• Medical Assistant Certification (acceptable certifications include, but are not limited to: CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA; required in states where certification is mandated by law or regulation; preferred but not required in non-mandated states)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30-90 days of hire

Qualifications

• 1 year of pediatric/ambulatory care experience (preferred)
• Proficiency with EMR systems (preferred)
• Spanish proficiency (preferred)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, HIPAA, infection control, and patient safety protocols (preferred)

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
