About the role

Since 1970, Salud has been committed to providing a Medical Home to patients, where medical, dental, behavioral health services, and clinical pharmacists work together and coordinate efforts in a team-based system of care. We strive to improve the quality of our patient's lives who would otherwise have limited access to health care. We serve all individuals regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay.

Responsibilities

• Treats patients with the utmost respect and concern for their physical, emotional, and mental well-being
• Welcomes patients as the first step in treatment prior to seeing the Doctor, NP, or PA
• Determines the nature of the patient’s visit and obtains vitals
• Maintains thorough and concise chart documentation for clear necessary communication
• Maintains a clean and organized environment for both patients and staff

Requirements

• The ability to work with people from all walks of life and to meet them in their place of need
• Current Medical Assistant Certificate
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required
• Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred

• $21 to $28.50 per hr
