Duties
- Direct and indirect patient care in a clinical environment
- Assisting the physicians with patient care and follow-up
- Wound care, casting and splinting
- Rooms and prepares patients for exams including taking medical history, vital signs and requesting reports needed for patient care
- Checks, restocks, orders supplies, and cleans equipment for assigned clinic areas
- Charts as necessary, files reports, completes/codes daily encounter forms
- Checks out patients making follow up appointments
- Maintains a safe and clean environment for patients, coworkers and physicians
- May respond to inquiries, providing routine information to patients and takes messages for the physicians and PA's
Requirements
- High School Diploma (some college preferred)
- Certified Medical Assistant - Two plus years previous experience in Medical Assisting
- MUST be willing to work occasional overtime as needed
- MUST have own reliable transportation
- MUST be able to pass drug test and background check
- Must have EHR experience and excellent computer skills
