About the role

The Medical Assistant (MA) II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. An MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location. The role is expected to be performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. This position is located at Providence PACE Milwaukie, 10330 SE 32nd Ave, Milwaukie, OR. Responsibilities

• Perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care.
• Perform all aspects of the MA I role.
• Maintain competence in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location.
• Follow established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands‑on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants.
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program.
• Completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces.
• Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.
• Six months of healthcare experience.
• Six months of medical assistant experience.

Qualifications

• Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification (preferred).
