Key Responsibilities
- Vital signs
- Blood draw
- NST
- Absorb and update patient medical history and test results in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Work with referring OB offices and hospitals to request and obtain patient medical records.
- Assist with front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, answering patient calls, verifying insurance, and maintaining organized medical records.
- Act as a liaison between patients and providers, ensuring questions and concerns are addressed promptly.
- Support daily clinical flow to keep operations efficient and patient care seamless.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification a plus.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in OB/GYN, perinatal medicine, or related healthcare fields preferred.
- Bilingual in English & Spanish (required for effective patient communication).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR systems).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
