Objectives of this role
Manage and care for clients; recognize and attend to their needs. Recognize ethical and legal responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide information, services, and assistance to clients and patients at PRIME on-site events and various PRIME Clinics.
- Maintains medical supplies inventory and performs preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating, including sterilization of medical instruments.
- Verifies patient information, medical histories by interviewing patients, documenting medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
- Saves doctors' time by helping with office procedures.
- Aid in injury care.
- Perform phlebotomy service and give injections.
- Saves patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; and keeping patient information confidential.
- Updates and files medical records according to State and Federal laws.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
- Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards; facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements.
- Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements
- Must be a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or equivalent
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of working experience as a Medical Assistant required
Physical Demands
- Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time
- Lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds

- Extensive use of computers, copy machines, and keyboards
- Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
- Work is performed in a medical clinic setting and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards
- Must have the ability to lift and carry parcels, packages, and other items, to walk short distances, climb stairs, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials
