Key Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth communication of protocols, policies, and workflows within our Vascular Care Center recovery area.
- Provide compassionate post-procedure support, including patient comfort, safety, dressing management, and nutritional needs.
- Serve as an essential liaison between physicians, nurses, and patients to promote coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate daily documentation of all patient procedures.
- Auxiliary support for registered nurses during examinations and procedures to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
- Assist with lifting, transferring, and positioning patients between stretchers and wheelchairs.
- Occasional coverage for Front Desk Coordinator duties as needed.
- Collaborate with management to oversee restocking, supply management, and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Safely dispose of biohazardous waste following regulatory guidelines.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist with additional tasks or extended hours when required.
- Uphold professionalism in all interactions with patients, staff, and physicians.
- Adhere to HIPAA and office safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management and clinical leadership.
Qualifications
- Willingness to travel between multiple vascular care centers and nursing homes (personal vehicle required).
- Minimum 1 year of patient care experience required.
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
- Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Updated physical, vaccines, and titers (PPD/TB, Hep B, MMR, Varicella).
- Covid-19 and flu vaccinations preferred.
- Ability to lift and assist patients safely.
- Comfort working in patient recovery settings.
- Strong assessment abilities and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
